Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear is one of the most severe injuries one can get as an athlete and an active person. ACL tears occur in sports that involve sudden changes of direction when jumping or landing or where speed is needed to stop suddenly, i.e., stoping after a high-speed run. Injuries are common in sports such as football, basketball, handball, and downhill skiing.

  • It's important to work close to the range of motion and pain threshold when introducing exercises at the early stages.
  • The pain will dominate the volume and frequency, and as a therapist, it's essential to explain the pain and give the patient coping strategies that will make performance improvements.
The first phase variates in time but is regularly concluded after 4 weeks of training. The exit criteria should be passed before entering a new phase. This is the second part of the main exercises that are included in phase 1.

Phase 1 passing criteria after approx. 4 weeks of rehab:
  • Knee extension range of motion (ROM) 0 degrees
  • Settle the swelling down, preferably no actual swelling
  • Quad contraction and full active extension
  • Maintain full active extension without support
  • Foam Roller
  • Yoga Mat

How does it work?

You will follow our workout in the app Byrizz on your smartphone. In the app you will find the workout and perform it any time you want.

How to join:
1. Click the workout you want and then the buy button.
2. As a first step you will have to login with your account or create a new one if you don't have one already. This is the account your purchase will be connected to.
